Let’s stop the damaging west of Ifield proposals for 10,000 housing units

Back the campaign

We’re fortunate to live in Crawley with beautiful green fields and woodland on our doorstep.

However, there are concerning proposals to build a possible 10,000 housing units to the west of Ifield on the golf course and concreting over the green open spaces beyond. This threatens natural habitats, with much of the area prone to flooding also.

Additionally, such a development would place unacceptable extra pressure on Crawley’s infrastructure of roads, GP practices and schools.

Crawley has taken its fair share of new homes in recent years, including the new neighbourhoods of Forge Wood and Kilnwood Vale, which have already added to pressure on local services across all areas of our town.

We must stand together as one community to ensure this damaging development does not go ahead.

We must show them that Crawley says no.
